Elderly Woman Injured in Bear Attack in Langate

Langate November 18 (KNS):  An elderly woman was critically injured in horrific bear attack in Guloora village of North Kashmir's Handwara on Friday afternoon.

Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that on Friday afternoon an elderly woman identified as Fareeda Begum wife of Mushtaq Malik was busy in her kitchen garden when suddenly a black bear appeared from the nearby orchards and attacked the woman which left her critically injured.

In the meanwhile, the family and locals came to her rescue and chased away the wild animal, eye witness told KNS.

Soon after the incident the injured lady was rushed to DH Handwara for treatment.

Meanwhile police confirmed the incident and said that the police party has been rushed to spot. (KNS)
