‘CM assured issues will be resolved on priority’

Srinagar, May 10 (KNS): On the opening of move offices at Srinagar a high level delegation of Employees leaders was called by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at her office residence Gupkar where the delegation met the Chief Minister under the leadership of EJAC President Ab. Qayoom Wani, during the meeting A.Q. Wani highlighted the issues and problems faced by the employees of the state and stressed for the resolution of these issues and hoped that Chief Minister shall take personal interest and would consider the issues sympathetically and issue the orders for their resolution as the state employees have been raising these issues before the govt. from times to time since a long time and the state govt. had signed an agreement for the resolution of these issues with the employees leadership. He made it known to Chief Minister that during the rule o Late mufti Mohammad Syed these issues were near resolution but due to his sudden death these issues shelved and the attention of Governor administration was invited towards these issues, but despite repeated assurances the issues are as they were and state employees were constrained to come on roads to protest. Wani said that since Mehbooba Mufti took over as Chief Minister we started to invite the attention of state govt. towards these issues and demands. He assured the Chief Minister that state employees never believed in confrontation but want the resolution of issues through dialogue and discussion. Wani urged for regularization of all temporary employees, dailywagers, casual labours, seasonal workers, contingent paid, Anganwadi workers, KGBV teachers, employees working in different centrally sponsored schemes of all departments, removal of pay anomaly in clerical cadre and Master grade, forest employees HDF & academic arrangement employees issues, issues of employees of Urban Local bodies, 20% increase in pay till the implementation of 7th pay Commission, enhancement in medical allowance from Rs.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel300/- to Rs. 3000/-, Uniform HRA in state, risk allowance in favour of emergency departments like forest, wild life, electric, PHE, irrigation and flood control, implementation of Minimum Wages Act in favour of contingent paid workers, cooks, stopping of political interference in govt. departments was also stressed. During the meeting state Chief Minister gave a patient hearing and listened all the issues and declared all these issues as genuine and assured the employees leader Wani that issues shall be resolved on priority. The Chief Minister said that employees are the corner stone of administration and assured. Wani that an organized strategy shall be adopted to resolve these issues and state machinery shall be pressed in service. The meeting was convened in a very cordial and congenial atmosphere. Wani hoped that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti shall take personal interest and would honour her assurance so that the pending issues are resolved amicably. During the meeting Mr. A.Q. Wani appealed the Chief Minister to take stock of the education department personally so that chaos and confusion of employees working in education department is removed. The EJAC president Mr. A.Q. Wani thanked the Chief Minister for the patient hearing and assurance with regard to the resolution of demands.
