Srinagar, Oct 03 (KNS): Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and Teachers forum Monday held a joint condolence meeting at central office Srinagar under the chairmanship of its president, Ab Qayoom Wani in connection with the sudden demise of Talib Hussain vice president EJAC and senior leader of Lecturers Forum.
As per the statement issued to KNS, the meeting was attended by all the leaders of EJAC and Teachers Forum.
The whole employees of the state in general and the teaching community in particular expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Talib Hussain.
They said that the deceased was a courageous social worker, religious figure and a pious man. “He was a visionary leader who worked tirelessly for the betterment and unity of the employees and has made many great sacrifices for the teaching community and has spent most of his time in struggling for the cause of employees of the state. He will always be remembered for his sacrifices. He was a close associate of EJAC president Ab Qayoom Wani,” they said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The forums said that the demise of Talib Hussain has left a great void in the trade unionism which is very difficult to be fulfilled. “His loss is a serious setback to the employees of J&K especially to the employees of Education department,’ they said.
The EJAC president and Chairman JKTF, Ab Qayoom Wani and other speakers expressed deep grief, shock and sorrow over the sudden demise of Talib Hussain and prayed for the peace to the departed soul.
They also expressed their sympathy and condolence with the family of the deceased.
All the members prayed Allah to grant Jannat-ul firdous to the departed soul.
Soon after the meeting the president EJAC Ab Qayoom Wani left for Jammu along with some other leaders to participate in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza of the deceased.
Meanwhile a delegation of Lecturers Forum and Teachers Forum lead by Dr. Manzoor and Mohammad Afzal Bhat will also leave for Jammu tomorrow to express solidarity with the bereaved family. (KNS)
