Srinagar, Aug 26 (KNS): Police on Thursday detained Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani after he tried to lead a protest march towards Eidgah.
According to a Hurriyat leader, as soon as geelani stepped out of his residential house at Hyderpora, police stopped him to march towards Eidgah and detained. “Geelani was detained by police at around 1:15 PM and was taken to Police Station Humhama,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Pertinently, the separatist leadership including Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chief, Muhammad Yasin malik in a joint statement had called for Eidgah chalo today. (KNS)
