Srinagar, Mar 14 (KNS): Hurriyat Conference (M) on Wednesday said that all the efforts to muzzle the genuine and sacred struggle of Kashmir through military might and resorting to harassment and repression on people won’t succeed and instead the move is fraught with dangerous consequences for the region on which clouds of war between India and Pakistan are already hovering over.
In a statement issued to KNS, the spokesman said that the war like situation on the borders in J&K is the outcome of the deteriorating situation in Kashmir and to end the decades of hostility between the two nuclear powers, India and Pakistan, the resolution of Kashmir issue as per the wishes and aspirations of people is highly inevitable.
The spokesman said that those at the helm in New Delhi are deliberately trying to hide and avoid the historic and political reality of the Kashmir dispute which is promoting further tension in the region.
Meanwhile, a delegation comprising Mushtaq Ahmed Sofi, Advocate Yasir Dalal, Peer Ghulam Nabi, Farooq Ahmed Saudagar, and others visited the residence of Muhammad Eisa Fazili at Ahmadnagar, Srinagar and expressed solidarity with the family members on behalf of Hurriyat and its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who remains under illegal house arrest since the last 3 days .Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelFazili recently achieved martyrdom in an encounter at Hakoora village of Anantnag district.
The delegation paid tributes to Eisa and stated that the youth are paying sacrifices for a sacred and great cause and the leadership and the people are duty bound to take the mission of martyrs to its logical end.
Meanwhile, a Hurriyat spokesman strongly condemned the continuous and illegal detention of its chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq terming the move as highly dictatorial and autocratic.
The spokesman also denounced the continuous detention of its senior leader Mukhtar Ahmed Wazar at police station Islamabad terming it as political vendetta.
He said these repressive measures can’t break the resolve of pro-freedom leaders. (KNS)
