Terming the freedom struggle very precious and the sacrifices of youth like Talib Ahmad Shah as the assets of the movement, National Front Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said “yesterday’s funeral procession of Shah should be an eye opener for India and its local collaborators who still live under the illusion that the freedom movement belongs to few people.”
“Shaheed Talib Ahmad Shah like martyrs are the real heroes of Kashmiris who sacrifice their lives to take the freedom movement forward,” Khan said in a statement to KNS. “No doubt Shaheed Talib’s martyrdom has deeply wounded his parents however his martyrdom has proved again that the charge of our freedom struggle has been taken over by well qualified and scholarly youngsters. The huge gathering at the funeral of Shaheed Talib was a proof that people of Kashmir admire freedom from India and love their freedom fighters.”
“Keeping in view the participation of people in the last rites of LeT commander, Shaheed Talib, India and its local collaborators must introspect and admit that Kashmiri people are against the illegal Indian occupation of Jammu Kashmir and who fight against the occupying forces are their real heroes,” he said.
Khan strongly condemned the police action against the mourners in Kakapora, saying “the men in uniform are fast losing ground among masses.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel” “Police personnel must think many times before taking action against their own brethren otherwise they will lose their place in the society for ever,” Khan alleged. “Indian occupied forces razed two residential houses to ground and damaged three more in Kakapora only to revenge the people. It is a war tool of India against Kashmiri people to crush their freedom sentiment.”
Khan appealed the people of district Pulwama to come forward and help those whose houses suffered losses at the hands of forces at Kakapora so that the torch of brotherhood which Islam has lightened remains burning.
Paying tributes to Talib, he said, “The sacrifices of martyrs will be protected at any cost. He also paid tributes to Shaheed Tariq Ahmad of Mawar, Handwara who achieved martyrdom few days ago.”
Khan also remembered the martyrs of Mashali Mohalla Srinagar who were massacred 25 five years back by the forces. “At least nine unarmed persons were massacred during dead of night into their respective houses at Mashali Mohalla,” Khan said adding “the hands of occupied forces are soaked with the blood of Kashmiris so those who collaborate with them are the enemies of Kashmiri people.”
