ED summons Mehbooba Mufti’s mother on July 14 

Srinagar, July 06 (KNS): The enforcement directorate has issued a summon to wife of former chief minister Late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and mother of People’s Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti to appear before the probe agency on July 14 in a case related to money laundering.

In a summon, issued by assistant director enforcement directorate Srinagar, Sunil Kumar, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS) has asked Gulshan Nazir, mother of former chief minister and PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti to appear before it at 11 am on July 14 at Enforcement Directorate zonal office in Rajbagh Srinagar. 

As per the details, the summon has been issued to Gulshan Nazir under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (15 of 2003) 

Meanwhile, Mehbooba Mufti took to Twitter to share the summon issued to her mother and stated that the summon was issued on the day PDP chose to stay away from meeting the delimitation commission, which is on a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir starting today.

“On the day PDP chose not to meet Delimitation Commission, ED sent a summon to my mother to appear in person for unknown charges. In its attempts to intimidate political opponents,GOI doesn’t even spare senior citizens. Agencies like NIA & ED are now its tools to settle scores,” she Tweeted. (KNS)
