Srinagar, May 29 (KNS): Srinagar Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran has warned of strict action against contractors who are illegally selling earth-filling material.

Talking to reporters, Imran said that SMC has got credible information that a few contactors who have been assigned contracts are illegally selling the earth and filling material to some individuals persons violating the contract guidelines.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said that SMC Mayor and Deputy Mayor have asked the police to take strict action against the contactors who are violating the guidelines.

"It is a daily scam in which about 275 truckloads of earth are sold illegally rather than dumped at the sites which are designated by the government," he said. (KNS)
