Srinagar, Oct 05 (KNS): Lal Chowk and its adjacent areas witnessed massive traffic jam on Wednesday evening as the large movement of private vehicles largely increased due to the relaxation call given by joint resistance leadership for the day.
The relaxation came into effect from 5pm.
Witnesses told KNS that hundreds of vehicles were stuck in gridlock traffic jam till late evening. The massive traffic jam was witnessed at Rambagh, Jawahar Nagar, Jahangir Chowk, Dalgate and its adjacent areas.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The considerable flow of private transport was also witnessed in areas of Pantha Chowk, Batwara, Shivpora, Rajbagh and Dalgate in the evening hours.
The square wore a colourful look. The shops and other business establishments opened at commercial hub at 05:00pm. The commercial hub and other adjacent areas witnessed huge rush of people buying essentials as well. (KNS)
