Dukhtaran-e-Millat has condemned the unjustified arrest of its President and her personal secretary. The leader was arrested at a time when Dukhtaran e Millat has asked people to defy the ban on bovine slaughter. Party has said that Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi was invited by OIC for a meeting and only after a few hours was she arrested.
In a statement to KNS, a spokesperson of the party said that Syedah Andrabi, despite the fact that she was put under house arrest some days ago, was arrested for unknown reasons.
She said that India and its agencies are frustrated by the fact that Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi is a popular leader and her huge following is expanding. “Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi is a popular leader and commands love and respect in the masses for her bold and clear stand and approach towards Kashmir issue and India seems to be frustrated to see her not changing her stance” the spokesperson said .
She further said that no reason for the arrest of the leader was revealed to her family but there is an apprehension that the leader may be framed in a fake case.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“We apprehend that she was arrested because she has asked people to defy the ban and prefer the sacrifice of bovine on eid or may be because she was invited by OIC” the statement read and added “she received a formal invitation by OIC yesterday and after a few hours she was arrested” the spokesperson said and added “Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi is a leader who demands the solution of Kashmir issue as per the wishes of its people and there is nothing illegal in it however this being a police state there is every apprehension that the ailing leader can be booked in a fabricated case as has been done earlier also”.
The spokesperson said that while Syedah Aasiyeh Anrabi’s husband is already in jail she, despite being unwell and having serious health issues, has been arrested shamelessly only a few days before eid leaving her two children alone with nobody to look after them. (KNS)
