Srinagar, Aug 08 (KNS): The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir today distributes Revolving fund of Rs.10,000 each among the 8 SHGs and identity cards among 334 registered street vendors of Kupwara town arranged by the Project Officer, District Urban Development Agency(DUDA),in this connection an awareness camp was organized by the District Urban Development Agency(DUDA) headed by Project Officer, Mushtaq Ahmad today at Town Hall, Kupwara to aware the public regarding the welfare schemes of the government for the betterment of the educated un employed youth by creating the self-help groups in the urban areas of the district .
The District Development commissioner, Kupwara Khalid Jahangir, who is (Chairman of DUDA),was invited as chief guest in the function while the District Lead Manager Mr. Irshad Ahmad ,Cluster Head JKB Noor Mohammad, EO, MCK members of civil society members, officials of district administration besides members of registered SHGs, street vendors of Kupwara town were present on the occasion to hear the deliberations by the experts who threw light on the welfare and developmental schemes run by the different developmental agencies and the DUDA under DAY-NULM regarding aims and objectives of the scheme.
Speaking on the occasion the DDC impressed upon the participants to avail the benefits of the schemes launched by the government and implemented by these developmental departments so that they will be able to change their day to day life style as per their will, and future requirements of the SHGs and the all help would be provided to them by the district administration.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe seeks support for coordination for providing better services to the workers.
The Project Officer, DUDA highlighted the progress achieved under the schemes launched by the GOI for betterment of the day to day life style and overall improvement in socio- economic condition of the educated un- employment youth by formulating their own Self Help Groups by the close coordination with the experts of the department under DAY-NULM .
On this occasion the SHGs and street vender representatives were asked desist from the use age of polythene products and plastic items as the products are harmful for environment and human health, he also impressed upon all stake holders for work with coordination and dedication to resolve the day to day problems and issues of the job aspirants,the revolving fund and ICs were provided among the 8SHGs and 334 street vendors after registration by DUDA, Kupwara.
