DSSP reaches Reasi to take forward agenda of Jammu statehood

Reasi, Aug 06 (KNS): The DSSP on Friday held a meeting at Reasi, as a part of its campaign and mass contact program at District Level to take forward the agenda of statehood for Jammu to all districts of Jammu.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Choudhary Lal Singh along with his team held a detailed discussion with the prominent citizens of Reasi in a local palace.

While addressing the gathering, Lal Singh explained in detail the perpetual discrimination and harassment post the period of accession.

He said that the major cause of the loss to Jammu province is because of the dearth of political empowerment.

He further said that abrogation of article 370 gave nothing to the people of Jammu except unemployment, frustration and massive pilferage of the local resources.

He said that the so-called Delimitation commission is fuel to the fire already engulfed the Jammu province.

“Keeping in view the entire situation, the only solution to the present crisis is a separate state for Jammu province. The discrimination which is faced by the Jammu since last 70 years can only end when the voice of the people of Jammu is heard at Delhi. But it is the voice of only Kashmir which is still heard in Delhi. DSSP as a party assures you that we will take the fight to the logical conclusion and all your issues shall be resolved and all of you will be the part of the Government,” he said.

As per the statement, those who accompanied Lal Singh included Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, KD Singh, Prof. H.R Sharma, Suman Wazir.

The meeting was organised by the prominent leaders of DSSP which include Bhupinder Singh, Sham Pandoh, Kuldeep Mengi, Rajinder Sharma, Sohan Chand, Balbir Manhas, Imtiaz Ahmad and Jatinder Pappu. (KNS)
