Naukriti Foundation New Delhi distributes free stationary in 110 students

Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNS): Director School Education Kashmir Dr. G N Itoo on Monday presided over the event organized to promote plantation drive and facilitate adoption of Government Boys Middle School Kathidarwaza by Navkriti, a Delhi based NGO.
The Head of News DDK Srinagar Salman Qazi and Chief Education Officer Srinagar Farooq Ahmad were Guest of Honour during the function. The other guests included Rajeev Kumar, President Naukriti Foundation New Delhi, Asif Nabi Khan Secretary Naukriti Foundation, Media Coordinator Naukriti Foundation Raja Kumar, Deputy Chief Education Officer Srinagar Mudasir Kaleem Fazili, Zonal Education Officer Rainawari Shaista Masrat and Jehangir Mustafa, Incharge Badamwari park, J&K Bank. The function was hosted by Media Coordinator Education Fayyaz Ahmad Fayyaz.
The event was organized by Zonal Education Officer, Zone Rainawari Shaista Masarat and her subordinate teachers to highlight importance of trees in our lives at Badam Vaèr on the foothills of Kohimaran in Rainawari, Srinagar.
Dr Itoo on the occasion said that the DSEK was observing cleanliness week and during this period there will be plantation drives, debates and discussions on cleanliness followed by involving local communities around the school and sensitizing them about the cleaner and greener environment.
He thanked Minister of Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari for facilitating grant of budget three times more what used to be allocated in past and assured that with these funds infrastructure will be upgraded in schools across valley.
Dr Itoo said that the 2018 year should be remembered as golden year in the near future infrastructure wise adding that they will first built walls, conveniences and other necessary infrastructure at girls schools which will be followed by boys schools.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Director Education also promised to hold separate spring festival and other events in open to provide exposure to the students.
Incharge News DDK Srinagar Salman Qazi highlighted the importance of education in our lives and stressed on students to take extra care of their studies besides involving themselves in extracurricular activities.
On the occasion President Navkriti Foundation an NGO Rajiv Kumar adopted Government Boys Middle school and vowed to provide students every help including stationery items and computer systems in the coming months.
During the proceedings of the event as many as 11 cultural programmes were performed by school kids highlighting importance of trees in our lives and each one of these groups were promised to be awarded with thousand rupees by Director Education. During the function Zonal ECCE coordinator Lubna Khan presented the Welcome Address and the Headmaster of BMS Kathidarwaza Muhammad Tufail Rafiqi and teacher of the said school Syed Tajamul Islam Andrabi thanked the guests in the end.
Later Dr Itoo initiated plantation drive at Government Boys Middle School Kathidarwaza to promote plantation of more trees for physical and mental wellness. He also interacted with the teachers of the said school.
The audiences included Principals, Headmasters, teachers and other students of various schools of Srinagar and other adjoining areas. (KNS)
