Handwara, Sep 26 (KNS) : Handwara Police on Monday said that it arrested a drug peddler and recovered narcotics from him in Kralgund area of the district.
An police officer told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a police party of Police Station Kralgund, while on naka duty at Rasripora crossing on Baramulla- Handwara highway, apprehended one person who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner.
"On search, around 05 grams of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from his possession," he said, adding that the person has been identified as Tawfeeq Ahmad Dar son of Gh Rasool, of Badra Payeen.
"In relation to this, FIR No. 82/2022 U/s 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kralgund and investigation has been initiated," he added. (KNS)
