Sopore, Nov 21 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in Sopore town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that a Naka was laid at Hathlangoo crossing by a Police party led by the DO Warpora Mudasir Nazar under the supervision of DySP Sopore Furqan Qadri.

“During checking a person identified as Hilal Ahmed Malla son of Mohammad Maqbool Malla, a resident of Malmapanpora was arrested along with 10 bottles of Welcyrex,” he said.

He said that a case FIR No. 282/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Sopore and further investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
