Srinagar, Jul 28 (KNS): Drug department of Kashmir has inspected more than 300 medical shops in South and North Kashmir during which it suspended 26 drug licences.
According to KNS correspondent, a team of drug department headed by Assistant Drug Controller, Nazir Ahmad Dar inspected medical shops in Dangiwacha Seelo Handwara highway and suspended five licences for violating drug and cosmetics act.
Nazir Ahmad told KNS that eight notices were issued to chemists for not maintaining the sale record.
Meanwhile, a senior officer of drug department told KNS that on the directions of Assistant drug controller head quarter, Muhammad Younis, a team of drug deptt inspected 202 medical shops and lifted 39 samples while it also suspended19 drug licences in South Kashmir’s Anantnag and Kulgam districts.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
ADC head Quarter, Muhammad Younis Hazare admitted the suspension of 19 drug licences.
Deputy Drug Controller, Irfana Ahmad told KNS that strict action will be taken against the chemists if found violating the drug and cosmetic act.
She further said that whosoever will be found running the medical shop without the licence, he will be booked under drug and cosmetics act. (KNS)
