Drug De addiction cum Career Counselling Programme Held at HSS Shadipora

Bandipora September 1 (KNS): With the objective to eradicate drug menace in J&K,Govt Higher Secondry School Shadipora organised a counselling programmes for the benefit of students. 


Dr. Bashir Lone, SDM Sumbal, who was the Chief Guest at the occasion emphasized on the need to conduct such programmes for the benefit of student community.
He said career was a matter of success, satisfaction and happiness. "It was intended to tap their potential through orientation, guidance and deliberated on career opportunities in terms of higher studies.
Dr Lone asked the students to learn to handle joy and pain that is the key to success and healthy life.
He also encouraged the students to prepare for their future endeavours as it was the right time to begin.
He advised students to start thinking about career development early in their education adding it is the right time to guide students on the path to self-discovery, self-realization.

 
"Counselling will help them to understand the career options that they have, and how to pursue them," said the SDM. 

He said Career Counselling helps them understand their own strengths and weaknesses with regard to their present course or profession, and lets them know what career they would be suited for.

"It helps students answer important questions about what to study, where to study, and how to make it happen,." he added.

The main focus behind the Programme was to aware the students about the bad impact of drug addiction on physical and mental health and social ramifications of indulging in drug menace, he also said.

Question and answer session was also held which allowed students to get more information about the topics. 

Principal GHSS Shadipora G M Pujoo was felicitated with the certificate of Appreciation for his extra ordinary overall performance in the institution. 
In his speech he stressed on the importance of such programme is the need of our and the objective and vision behind the programme was to permanent eradication of drug menance and to aware students about the bad impact of drug addiction.(KNS)
