Drive against Narcotic Drugs, Sopore Police destroyed Cannabis in Krankshivan village

Sopore, Aug 31 (KNS) : Sopore police in a special drive against Narcotic drugs on Wednesday destroyed Cannabis (Bhung) cultivation on 20 kanals of land at Krankshivan village of apple town in North Kashmir. 
 
An official told the news agency - Kashmir News Service (KNS), that Police in presence of revenue and excise department destroyed cannabis cultivation in Minipura Krankshivan village this North Kashmir town. 

They said, information was repeatedly pouring from the citizens about illegal cultivation of Bhung (Cannabis) at Krankshivan village of Soppre town. 

Accordingly, a police party headed by sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Sopore Furqan Qadir accompanied by the station house officer (SHO) Amargrah, Imtaiz Ahmed along with revenue and excise officials reached to the spot and destroyed the illegally cultivated Cannabis (Bhung) on a field measuring about 20 Kanals of land there, he said. 

Meanwhile, a case in this regards has been registered under NDPS Act and investigation has started. 
 
“The accused persons who did this cultivation have been identified and action will be taken soon", official added.(KNS)
