Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNS): Terming the removal of Haseeb A Drabu over his Kashmir remarks as party’s internal matter, the opposition mainstream political parties on Monday stated that sacking Finance Minister makes no sense.
Talking to KNS, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, Ghulam Ahmad Mir said that it is PDP’s internal politics. “Since three years, Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) has eroded everything, now that they have reached the point where they think that this step will wipe out all their problems for them,” he said.
However, National Conference (NC), didn’t utter anything over the development, saying they will make an official statement in this regard.
Chairman of Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and MLA Khansahib, Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen said that removing Drabu makes no sense. “The people of Kashmir have by the time known the real facet of PDP,” he said.
He further added that Drabu was the main player between the PDP and BJP alliance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Now that they have removed him, makes no sense. The whole process looks like party’s internal matter,” he added.
The state CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam, M Y Taragmi told KNS that it is their internal decision. “We would not like to talk further about it,” he said.
Prof. Saifuddin Soz, Former Union Minister, while welcoming Mehbooba Mufti’s decision of removing Drabu, said that Haseeb Drabu can at best be pitied for his distorted perception of Kashmir situation as his statement, in utter disregard of his party position, may not achieve any advantage for him from his mentors.
He further added that “I appreciate the courageous act of Mehbooba Mufti.”
Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir told KNS that it is their party issue and “I find it unnecessary to comment on it.” (KNS)
