Visits Qaid Mazar, offers Fateh at final resting places of Sher-e-Kashmir, Madre Meharban

Srinagar, 11 January: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday paid obeisance at  Asar-e-Sharief Dargah Hazratbal, Srinagar, where he prayed for increased prospects of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued to news agency-kashmir news service (KNS), Party President prayed for bountiful provisions from Almighty and for protection of the people of Jammu and Kashmir from the prevailing COVID-19 crises and weather vagaries during the ongoing winter season. 

In his interaction with the devotees there, he said that the sum and substance of the Islamic faith and essence of our ‘Iman’ is our love of the Holy Prophet (SAW), and following the tenets of the holy Quran and Hadith. Later Party President paid a visit to Qaid Mazar, Naseem Bagh, and offered Fateh there at the final resting places of Baba-e-Qoum Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and Madre Maharban Begum Akbar Jehan Abdullah.

Soon after, the Party President visited the bereaved family of late Ghulam Mustafa Shahdad, who breathed his last on Sunday at his residence, Shahdad Bagh, Habak. On the occasion the party president shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for forbearance to them in their hour of grief. While consoling the bereaved Shahdad family, he recalled how the deceased had touched many lives with his pious character and sober temperament. He also spoke about the virtues of hard work, and knowledge, the deceased left behind to lighten the paths of those who aspire to become entrepreneurs.

 He also talked about his immense hard work in making brand Kashmir global. On the occasion he offered Fateha for the deceased and prayed for eternal repose to the deceased in Jannah.
