Prays for increased prospects of peace, prosperity in J&K, Ladakh

Srinagar Feb:(KNS)  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah on Monday greeted people on the Youm-e-Wiladat of Hazrat Syedna Abbas(RA), Hazrat Syedna Ali Al Murtaza (RA) and Hazrat Ameer-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA). 

While greeting the people, Dr Farooq said, “Hazrat Ali Al Murtaza (RA) united the qualifications of an administrator, a soldier, and a polymath. Respected and regarded and revered by Muslims  across the globe, Hazrat Ali (AS) was an epitome of  bravery, integrity, beliefs, morals, honesty and devotion towards the teachings of Holy messenger of Islam (SAW).”

Heaping praise on the towering and venerated personality of Hazrat Syedna Abbas (RA), Dr Farooq said, “Hazrat Abbas (RA) was excessively generous. A gold mine of wisdom, he put himself, his influence, and his money at the disposal of those who were in need."

While highlighting the immense and unparalleled contributions and legacy of Ameer-e-Kabeer, Shah-e-Hamdan (RA), Dr Farooq said, "Shah-e-Hamdan (RA)’s role in spreading education, enlightenment and peace in the State formed the bedrock of our society’s cultural and religious identity. He said it was because of Shah-e-Hamdan (RA)’s vision that Kashmir became a hub of handicrafts of global fame and repute – an era which formed the basis of Kashmir’s rise towards economic self-sustenance and well-being.”

“He is credited with building numerous mosques; he bought land at various places across Kashmir and bequeathed it to the Muslim Ummah. His relentless service in the field of Islamic learning, Tasawwuf, socio-political emancipation of the downtrodden is matchless. The contribution of such Sufis, as Hazrat Ameer e Kabeer (RA) to the spiritualism and humanism in Kashmir is immense,” he said.

Among others the party general secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar has also felicitated the people following the auspicious birth anniversaries.(KNS)
