Srinagar, 27 August (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Friday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of a prominent Socio-Political activist and party leader Haji Mussa Chiktan of Kargil. 
 
In his condolence message, Dr. Farooq said the news of Chiktan sahib's passing away has saddened him. In Chiktan Sahib's demise, Dr Farooq said, the party's Kargil unit and the people of Kargil have lost a noble social worker dedicated to the just cause of the poor, the backwards and the downtrodden. Sharing in the grief of the bereaved family, he prayed for peace to the departed and much needed strength to the bereaved. 
 
In his condolence message, Omar Abdullah said, "Very sorry to hear about the demise of one of our senior colleagues from Kargil Mussa Chiktan. He was an institution in himself, dedicated to the party & committed to representing the aspirations of the people of his area. We will miss his smile & his long speeches at our meetings," he said. 
 
Meanwhile party general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leader Qamar Ali Akhoon, district president Kargil Haji Hanifa Jan and others have also condoled the demise of Haji Mussa Chiktan sahib, prayed for peace to the departed and forbearance to the bereaved.(KNS)
