Srinagar, 24 June: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran party leader and Former MLA Sonawari Ghulam Rasool Bahar, who breathed his last at SKIMS, Soura.

 

In his demise, I have lost an irreplaceable comrade and a trusted colleague, said Dr. Farooq in his condolence message. While recalling the contribution of the deceased, he said late Bahar sahib was a selfless social worker and a conscious politician, who will be remembered for the sheer integrity and concern for people and the party. On his demise I pay my tributes to him and pray for peace to his soul in the highest echelons of Jannat. I express my sympathies with the bereaved family and pray for fortitude to them in their hour of loss and grief.

 

Omar Abdullah in his condolence message said, “Received the news of Bahar Sahib’s passing away. His name will figure out in the annals of history as someone who remained loyal to the party in an un-swearing manner during the most trying times. Sharing in the grief of the bereaved family, I pray for forbearance to them during this difficult time. I also pray to the Almighty to grant the deceased highest stations in Jannat,” he said.

 

Meanwhile, the Party General Secretary made a phone call to Fayaz Ahmed Bahar, son of the deceased and extended condolences to him on behalf of the Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah. Sharing in the grief of the bereaved family, Sagar expressed unison with the bereaved family particularly Fayaz Ahmed in their hour of grief and loss and prayed to almighty to grant eternal peace to departed in the highest stations of Jannat.

 

Among others Party Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Party North Zone President and MP from Baramulla Muhammad Akbar Lone, Former MP Sharief Ud Din Shariq, Senior leaders Abdul Rahim Rather, Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Shafi Uri, Mubarak Gul , Mian Altaf Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed Khan Gurezi, Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, Provincial Secretary Showkat Ahmed Mir, YNC Provincial President (K) Salman Ali Sagar, Mir Ghulam Rasool Naaz, and Advocate Nazir Ahmed Malik have also expressed sympathies with the bereaved family on their irreparable loss and prayed for peace to the departed soul in the highest echelons of Jannat.

 

 Party leader Hilal Ahmed Lone led a delegation of party functionaries and visited the bereaved family to express solidarity with them in their hour of grief and loss. The visiting delegation offered Fateh for the deceased and shared in the grief of the bereaved particularly Fayaz Ahmed Bahar, son of the deceased leader.

 

Meanwhile Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed grief over the demise of Hakeem Gazanfar Ali of AlamGari Bazar, Zadibal. The duo extended sympathies with the bereaved particularly Former Deputy Mayor Hakeem Ghulam Muhammad, brother of the deceased. The duo sharing in the grief of the deceased prayed for fortitude to the bereaved and peace to the departed. Political Advisor to Vice President Tanvir Sadiq has also expressed grief over the passing away of Hakeem Gazanfar Ali.
