Srinagar, Feb 19 (KNS): BJP National Executive Member, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today attended Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti celebrations at Pune in Maharashtra as the Chief Guest. 

 

According to a statement, the event was organised by confederation of cultural foundations and social organizations of Maharashtra. 

 

Speaking on the occasion Dr Andrabi said that Shivaji symobolizes valour, dignity, honesty and Indian ethos. 

 

"Shivaji is the cultural and political icon of India who fought all those who tried to hurt India's unique identity. We derive inspiration from him for safeguarding our Indian unique cultural, geographical and political interests. Shivaji shows us the way to infuse in every citizen the spirit of patriotism to make this country great again," she said. 

 

She was felicitated by the Confederation on the occasion and painting of Chatrapti was released by Dr Andrabi at the celebration held at Lal Mahal in Pune. (KNS)
