Srinagar, 10 Nov (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Dr. Farooq Abdullah Monday paid rich tributes to Dr. Sir Muhammad Iqbal on the occasion of Iqbal day.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah in his message on the occasion said, “Allama Iqbal was not only a great philosophical poet and thinker but also a visionary deeply concerned about the plight of the people. Sher-e-Kashmir had a long-standing association with Iqbal, and both shared a commitment to addressing the challenges faced by Kashmiris.”
He added, “Allama Iqbal’s political thought focused on the reform and upliftment of Muslim societies.
