Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNS): In a surprising development National Conference president and Lok Sabha Candidate of NC-Congress combine Dr. Farooq Abdullah called on MLA Khansahib and PDF chairman Hakim Mohammad Yaseen and sought his support in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Sources privy to developments told KNS that Farooq Abdullah accompanied by senior National Conference leaders Ali Mohammad Sagar and Nasir Aslam Wani held meeting with Hakim Mohammad Yaseen at his Tulsi Bagh residence for about twenty minutes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sources said that however Hakim Mohammad Yaseen conveyed his party’s decision to stay away from the ongoing by-elections in view of the increasing militancy related incidents and killings.
Sources said that Hakim made it clear the Farooq led NC delegation that his party will stay away from the ongoing bye-elections as the situation is not conducive for any election exercise in the State. (KNS)
