Srinagar, 24 Aug (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah has called upon the administration to ensure comprehensive arrangements at the Asar-e-Sharif Dargah Hazratbal and other major shrines across Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the upcoming religious observances.

Dr. Farooq stressed the need for adequate facilities for devotees, including uninterrupted power and water supply, sanitation, cleanliness, traffic management, transport, security and proper medical arrangements, particularly at Hazratbal where large numbers of devotees are expected to gather.

He also urged the administration to make similar arrangements at all prominent shrines across Jammu and Kashmir so that devotees are able to offer prayers and pay obeisance in a peaceful, safe and orderly atmosphere.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe called for close coordination among all concerned departments and shrine management committees to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance.

Dr. Farooq said that the revered shrines of Jammu and Kashmir are deeply connected with the spiritual and cultural heritage of the people and called for ensuring that devotees are provided every possible facility during the auspicious occasions.(KNS)
