Srinagar, 14 Jun: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and MP from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have greeted people on the annual Urs of Hazrat Baba Naseeb ud Din Gazi ( RA) being observed at his revered Shrine in Bijbehara, Anantnag. 

In their greetings message, the duo prayed that the day increases the prospects of peace and prosperity in J&K.They said that the  Rishis of Kashmir brought the essence of Islamic teaching to every household by localizing it. Their teachings, the duo said, touch a spectrum of issues encompassing both individuals as well as the society in their fold. 

The Reshi Mystic thought has an innate relation with the people of Kashmir. The contribution of such Sufis as Nund Reshi and his associates to the spiritualism and humanism in Kashmir is immense,” they said adding that this local mystic thought which is deeply ingrained & woven into the cultural tapestry of Kashmir has also encouraged people to live a life of piety and discipline stressing on devotion of Almighty and service to humankind.
