Kupwara, November 21(KNS): Pursuant to notification for conduct of District Development Council and By-Panchayat elections, public notices for one DDC constituency viz. Sogam in district Kupwara has been issued today by District Panchayat Election Officer Kupwara, Anshul Garg, for the seventh phase and simultaneously public notices have also been issued for vacant seats of 03 Sarpanch and 99 Panch seats falling in the constituency.
As per the notification, last date for submission of nomination forms is November 28; while as, scrutiny of nomination papers shall be held on December 01. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is December 03. December 16 is the polling date (wherever necessary) for the seventh phase with polling time from 7am to 2pm.
As per data issued by District Election Officer Kupwara, 113 polling stations have been established and 350 Presiding & Polling officers have been appointed.(KNS)
