Administer kids Measles-Rubella vaccination

Srinagar, Sep 28 (KNS): Amid rumors about administration of Measles-Rubella vaccination in Jammu and Kashmir, Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) appealed parents not to pay any heed to rumors over Measles-Rubella vaccination. Association appealed parents to take your kids to concerned centres for vaccination before it is out of stock.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) President Dr Suhail Naik appealed parents to take their kids to schools or concerned centers and administer them Measles-Rubella vaccination without paying any heed to rumors.
“This vaccination program is not a state government sponsored but World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) like reputed organization are behind the scheme aimed to curb the diseases within children in developing nations. It has been started throughout India and Jammu & Kashmir is the 23rd state where it takes off from 24 September.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAlmost 80,000 to 1 lac kids are vaccinated on daily basis throughout the state”, said Dr. Suhail Naik.
Over rumors of severe fever and other medical complications, DAK President said, such things will not happen because of the vaccination, there may be other reasons which needed to be checked and treated. But as far as Measles-Rubella vaccination is concerned, I assure all parents to take their children through the program without any fear.
He said not a single child has so far resorted to any complication. It is just a rumor people aired and it needs to be stopped for the welfare of children.
“Those who stopped their children to get vaccinated will know its worth after culmination of scheme”, he added. (KNS)
