Says UNICEF has made it clear that schools must be last places to close

Srinagar, Jan 11 (KNS): Noted Socio-Political Activist Imran Amin Shah on Tuesday asked Jammu and Kashmir administration to take measure in the interest of student community and don't disturb this year's academic year.

"From last two years, our student community is suffering and now with administration deciding to close tuition centers it is going to badly impact their careers," Imran said while asking admin to reconsider the decision so that the ongoing academic year isn't disturbed.

He said that educational institutions are closed the student community will feel alienated.

"Alienation is considered major reason for youth getting involved in drugs," he added.

Imran said that the Administration must take sleeve of measures for protecting students enrolled in tuition centers instead of closing them completely.

He said that UNICEF has too recently made it clear that schools must be the last place to close and first to open.

"2022 cannot be yet another year of disrupted education.

No effort should be spared to get children's education back on track" UN General Secretary too has remarked recently. (KNS)
