Srinagar, Nov 27 (KNS): PDP president and former chief minister J&K, Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday asked BJP don’t become raiders because Kashmiri’s know how to throw them out. She said J&K acceded to secular India and won’t allow the country to become BJPs India.
“In 1947 when Pak invaders raided Kashmir, the locals fought against them without having arms and ammunition in hand. So BJP should keep it in mind that don’t become raiders because Kashmiri’s know how to throw raiders out”, Mehbooba Mufti said while addressing party’s youth convention in SK Park, opposite party’s headquarters here in Srinagar.
She said the situation in J&K is worsening day by day. “On one side militants kill our people in the name of informers and on the other side forces kill our youth in the name of hybrid and white color militants”.
Lashing out at J&K Government, the PDP President said one side Nasha Mukt Abhiyan is being launched and message being disseminated that administration is firm to curb the spread of drugs however on the other side beer shops are being established which speaks volumes about the intentions of the government.
She said today every Kashmiri is feeling disappointed and asking to which India J&K had acceded to? “The people of Kashmir are feeling scared due to mischief’s of BJP. Kashmiri’s are questioning to which India we had acceded to?”, she said.
She added the J&K had acceded to Gandhi’s, Nehru’s and Abul Kalam Azad’s India. Today Rahul Gandhi and others are searching the same India where secularism was existing?, she added.
She continued that “I’m telling BJP it is that Kashmir who fought against Pak invaders in 1947 without having arms and ammunition in hand. And today we also know how to fight and push you (BJP) back outside the boundaries of J&K without arms”. She said BJP played with the sentiments of J&K and snatched constitutional rights on August 5, 2019 “illegally” and “unconstitutionally”.
“BJP government is hoodwinking outside world about Kashmir situation. They brought 70 ministers here for a photo shoot and achieved nothing from the exercise. If BJP is sincere to make aware its ministers from grassroots level situation, bring them to Gujarat”, she added.
She said BJP is beating drums about conduct of Panchayat elections in J&K. “If they are so prestigious let BJP leaders abandon from chairs and engage in Panchayats” she added.
Mehbooba said the BJP has not devastated J&K only but the entire country where people are feeling chocked to breathe in a free and fair atmosphere. “I convinced BJP in my tenure for ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. Also persuade them to withdraw 12000 FIRs against J&K youth. Even I dropped two ministers of BJP from the cabinet. Late Mufti sahib had tamed the bear (BJP) however it resorted to devastating things later on after it goes free”, she said.
She said BJP used all state institutions against PDP to make the party surrender but PDP is committed to represent its people and will bring back all rights snatched on August 5, 2019 with interest. “BJP used SIA, NIA, ED, ACB and others to make us surrender. But I want to tell them you (BJP) cannot cage an ideology”, she said.
The PDP President also said that Kashmir is a dispute and cannot be resolved by muscle power. “We should not lose passion. I will be the first who will give sacrifice to bring J&K out from the quagmire of uncertainty”, Mehbooba said. (KNS)
