Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNS): While supporting the protest call given by the separatist leadership, United Jihad Council (UJC) Thursday termed the government decision of issuing domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees as a ‘ploy’.
The UJC alleged that the Narendra Modi led government is hellbent to "change the demographic character of Jammu and Kashmir, which is a Muslim majority state."
In an e-mailed statement to KNS, the UJC spokesman, Syed Sadaqat Hussain while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as saying “Pakistan should not act as mute spectator over the ploy of changing the demography of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Addressing a special meeting of UJC, he said, “Narendra Modi led government with the full support of the state government is hatching a conspiracy to change the Muslim majority state into Muslim minority state and issuing domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees is in connection with this ploy.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
Stating that such decisions are not acceptable to the people of Kashmir, the UJC chief said, “Kashmiris won’t allow such kind of happenings and Pakistan which is one among the stakeholders must not act as mute spectator over the issue.”
He appealed International Community to intervene into the matter. (KNS)
