Baramulla, Dec 08 (KNS): Even though administrators at Sub-District Hospital Pattan had assured the people that a new doctor will assume after transferring of a doctor, the post is still lying vacant in the hospital as no such doctor has assumed the charge so far.
Last month, the authorities in the hospital had said that the post which was lying vacant is the hospital will be filled soon as the alternative lady doctor is going to assume her charge on November 23.
The patients while talking to KNS said that they are facing tough time as the number of doctors are too low in the hospital. “We have urged the hospital authorities several times but nothing has been done in this regard,” they said.
Muhammad Ramzan, a patient said that the hospital authorities seem reluctant to treat the patients.
“Whatever could be the sluggishness of the administration as the authorities have even failed to fill the vacant posts from last several weeks,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Pertinently, the authorities in the health department have illegally transferred seven lady doctors in a period of one year from sub-district hospital Pattan, which is against the norm formulated by the department.
As per the service norm made by the higher officials, no one is supposed to get transferred before two years of his/her service in any department.
BMO Dr Aadil Kangoo, said that he has sent written application to the OSD to Director health in this regard but so far nothing has been done in this regard. “A doctor has been relieved from Soibug on November 22nd but she has not joined her duty so far,” he said.
MLA Pattan Imran Raza Ansari while talking to KNS said that he has no information in this regard.
“I will personally look into the matter and strict action will be taken against the involved persons.” (KNS)
