Shopian 10 january (KNS): Divisional Commissioner on Sunday made visit to Shopian to take a view of the situation. During the visit he held meetings with the stakeholders besides local administration.

The Div com  accompanied by DC Shopian visits Shadab Kerawa and some other areas of shopian.

While visiting Shopian he met locals and he assured the people that the Shopian to be declared as disaster hit district in view of heavy snowfall. 

He also ordered immediate shifting of  mechanical sub division Shopian from pulwama to shopian as it operates from pulwama. 

A local who had meeting with Div Com, said that, Pole was kind enough to announce that steps would be taken to ensure a seperate mechanical division for shopian in near future. He also assure the deputation led by newly elected DDC member irfan Manhas and his colleagues that every possible help & assistance shall be extended to the affected people, he added.(KNS)
