ADC Budgam Urges youth to voluntary donate blood to save human lives

 

Budgam June 14 (KNS): On World Blood Donor Day, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Budgam, Dr Nasir Ahmad today inaugurated a blood donation camp at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam.

The camp was organized by District Hospital Budgam, where as many as 80 donors donated their blood.

Among donors, was the India's biggest blood donor, Shabir Hussain Khan of Srinagar who donated 176th  pint of 0-  blood today during the camp.

Chief Education Officer Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Qadri, Medical Superintendent, DH Budgam, Dr Mohammad Ayoub Fateh Khan, senior medicos and others were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, ADC Budgam said donating blood is best services one can offer to the entire humanity.

He said the donors must feel proud for saving human lives and helping the needy in most critical situations.

ADC appreciated Shabir Hussain Khan for his passion of blood donation. “Despite rare blood group, Khan has donated 176th pints so far and has become top donor of India” said ADC.

He further urged youth to become volunteers for blood donation to save human lives.

CEO and MS DH Budgam also spoke on the occasion and appreciated all blood donors.(KNS)
