District Admin Anantnag seek explanation from 5 Govt. employees allegedly participated in election campaigning

Anantnag, Dec 01 (KNS): Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag on Tuesday sought explanation from five government employees who were allegedly involved in campaigning political rallies for ensuing DDC, ULBs and Panchayat elections. The suspected employees have been asked to submit a detailed report within one day in order to enable further proceedings in the matter.
The order copy vide no. DEO/MCC/2020-21/65-70 dated 30.11.2020 reads “This office has received complaints against Syed Rayees Ahmad R/o TB Shah Naid Khun, Anantnag, place of posting RDD Department BDO Pampore; Sarwar Mufti S/o Sharif-ud-din R/o Baba Mohalla Bijbehara, Anantnag, place of posting Indian Railways Kashmir; Sallar Ahmad Shah S/o Ghulam Rasool R/o Bijbehara, Anantnag, place of posting JK Bank Branch Veeri; Mushtaq Ahmad Mir R/o Janglatmandi, Anantnag, place of posting JK Bank Branch Larnoo and Bashir Ahmad Mir R/o Mirgund, Anantnag, place of posting Lumberdar Mirgund, all government officials of District Anantnag alleged forcampaigning in the rallies of political parties in the upcoming DDC/ULBs/Panchayat Elections which is clear violation of Model Code of Conduct which is in force for the elections of 2020”.
The said employees have been asked to submit a detailed report in the matter within one day positively through WhatsApp on 7006509643 as well as in hard copy enabling this office to proceed further.
Pertinently the district administration Anantnag headed by Deputy Commissioner KK Sidha took strong note of violation of model code of conduct during ensuing DDC, ULBs and Panchayat elections and has ordered several enquiries so far against the employees allegedly involved into the matter. (KNS)
