SRINAGAR, APRIL 13 (KNS): The Director Horticulture Kashmir, G.R. Mir today visited Anantnag and inspected Fruit Plant Nursery (FPN) Bijbehara.

During the visit, the Director conducted a comprehensive review of the different developmental initiatives and thoroughly analyzed all the management techniques being implemented in the said nursery.

He urged the staff to prioritize orchard sanitation and the production of premium planting material, while instructing them to expedite the spraying, fertilizer application, and other nursery activities. He further instructed the staff to follow safety protocols and use appropriate protective gear when handling chemicals or operating machinery.

The Director emphasized the importance of utilizing the land and other resources in the nurseries to their fullest potential. He instructed the officers to take necessary measures to ensure that these resources are utilized to the maximum extent possible.

The Director was accompanied by Secretary JK Advisory Board for Development of Kisans, Chief Horticulture Officer Anantnag and other officers of the department during the visit.(KNS)
