Director Horticulture participates in Kisan Sampark Abhiyan at various Panchayat Halqas of Pulwama

 PULWAMA, APRIL 25 (KNS) : The Director Horticulture Kashmir, G.R. MIR today toured District Pulwama and participated in Kisan Sampark Abhiyan under Holistic Agriculture Development Plan in Panchayat Halqa Gangoo, Nikloora and Litter among others.

The Director Horticulture emphasized the significance of the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, stating that it is a crucial initiative in empowering farmers with the latest knowledge and skills. Through proper training and guidance, farmers can increase their crop yield and income, which will ultimately contribute to the growth of the Horticulture Industry.
 
He said this program aims to provide farmers with the resources they need to succeed in their profession, which in turn will benefit both the farmers and the larger community. By focusing on education and skill-building, the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan can play a crucial role in promoting sustainable agriculture and fostering economic growth in the horticulture sector.
 
Moreover, the Director Horticulture stated that the success of the program relies heavily on the involvement of farmers.
 
To ensure maximum participation, the Chief Horticulture Officers in the concerned districts were instructed to publicize and implement the program effectively. Their primary responsibility is to encourage and motivate farmers to participate in the program on scheduled dates.
 
Later, the Director Horticulture also visited several Hi-Density Apple orchards that were established with the support of the department. He interacted with the orchardists and discussed their concerns and challenges. He assured them of the department's full support and encouraged them to adopt modern and scientific techniques to enhance their yield and quality of produce.
 
The Director emphasized that the department is committed to supporting farmers in every way possible and providing them with the necessary resources and guidance to succeed. He also encouraged orchardists to share their experiences and knowledge with fellow farmers to promote best practices in the industry.
 
The visit was an important step in strengthening the department's relationship with farmers and promoting the growth of the horticulture industry.
