Srinagar, Jun 22:(KNS) The Departmental Promotion Committee meeting of Handicrafts and Handloom, Department Kashmir was held today under the Chairmanship of Director Handicrafts & Handloom Mahmood Ahmad Shah wherein the promotion of 79 officials of Ministerial/ executive and technical employees of the Department were cleared for promotion to the next higher positions.

Director Handicrafts & Handloom Mahmood Ahmad Shah while congratulating the officials on their promotion said “It gives me immense pleasure to declare the promotion of the officials who have made the department very proud by committing to their responsibilities effectively.” 

Furthermore, the director added “I wish the employees serve the society with similar zeal and zest.”

Apart from clearance of promotions, several issues were also addressed during the meeting by the committee thus resolving the long pending grievances of certain sections of employees of the department.

Post merger of Handicrafts & Handloom Department into a single entity, this was the first Departmental Promotion Committee Meet and was held after a gap of more than two years.

Hailing the development, the employees appreciated the efforts of the Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir Mahmood Ahmad Shah for holding the meet in a swift manner.

The employees expressed their satisfaction over the redressal of their grievances by the committee in the meeting. (KNS)
