Srinagar, Feb 21 (KNS): Director Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, Riyaz Wani held a meeting with all the Chief executive officers, executives, officers of Municipal Councils and committees of Kashmir division in which he impressed upon the integrated development of all medium towns with a special thrust on waste management both solid and liquid and establishment of green corridors and beautification of major roads of all towns.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the officiasl said that Wani also issued circular instructions to the extent that no polythene should be allowed to be used in any town of the Kashmir division.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He entrusted the responsibility of sealing all Valley bound polythene consignments at Qazigund to Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Qazigund along with representatives of J&K State Pollution Control Board and Police.
For speedy public service delivery system, the Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir has ordered for establishment of rooms/grievance cells at all Municipal institutions of the Valley. (KNS)
