Assures ease of doing business through the single Window Clearance system

Srinagar, Apr 01 (KNS): Director Industries and Commerce, Kashmir Mahmood A Shah Monday held an interactive meeting here at Conference Hall of Sanat Ghar, Bemina, Srinagar with the business and trade bodies including Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir (FCIK), Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI), PHD Chamber, Horticulture Producers Association, Cement Association.

The representatives of the trade bodies who participated in the meeting put forth various issues related to incentives of MSME sector, implementation of ease of doing business, the creation of land bank, inadequate staff in the District Industries Centers (DICs), Marketing Support to Industrial Units and lack of awareness about incentives under service sector.

Director I&C Kashmir ensured that all the issues shall be addressed and deliberated upon one by one with the stakeholders on merits and priority.

Mahmood Shah during the meeting also deliberated on eco-tourism sector and steps taken by the department for augmentation of land bank in the near future.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He further highlighted the achievement made on Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) under Ease of doing business for providing the best possible ecosystem for investment, industrialization and employment generation.

For the ease of doing business, Mahmood Shah informed the trade bodies that a single window portal is being launched for providing all industrial approvals pertaining to the concerned department in a time-bound manner through a single login.

He also emphasised on reaching out to the tourism, education and health sector for incentives under IDS, MSME and DIPP schemes.

He said the department will reach out to these important and priority sectors and aware them about the various schemes for their promotion and benefit.

Director I&C also informed that awareness camps are being conducted and one of which was recently held at SKICC, Exhibition Ground and Kashmir University.

He also assured all the participants that such type of camps shall be organised frequently in every district. (KNS)
