Bandipora 11 May (KNS): Director Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (KAS) visited District Bandipora along with Chief Horticulture officer Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara and other field functionaries.

He visited various orchards/nurseries where the damage occurred due to hail storm.  

The necessary instructions were given to field staff to remain available to orchardists of their respective areas by way of providing advisory as also instructed  District officer to take all initiative measures in the sector.
Instructions were also issued to all field functionaries for assessment of damage and detail of damages be furnished immediately.  

Director Horticulture also interacted with the farmers/orchardists and assured them of all technical support as well as financial support being provided by the Department under various developmental programmes/Schemes.

The officers/officials were directed to maintain a close liaison with the growers so that they get the timely know-how about the benefits of these schemes.(KNS)
