Srinagar, 21 May (KNS): Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat today chaired a meeting regarding subsidy support for transportation of fruits, as the Government of J&K (UT) has earmarked funds for the said purpose.

The meeting was attended by the officers of the Department of Horticulture, Kashmir, representative of Horticulture Planning and Marketing, J&K, President Fruit Growers Association, President Canning Association, besides some prominent Cherry growers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

During the meeting, all aspects of providing transportation charges to farmers were thoroughly discussed.

A five-member committee was framed as per the directions of the Director for the preparation of a detailed plan in respect of providing of subsidy on freight charges of the cherry crop.(KNS)
