Srinagar, Mar 11 (KNS): To make quality and affordable medicines a reality in India, the Department of Pharmaceuticals Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Government of India (GoI) took it’s initiatives a step further by launching the Pradhan Manti Jan Aushadi scheme.
After the launch of this scheme in 2008, few stores of Jan Aushadhi have already been opened in few districts of the state.
According to the statement issued to KNS, on the huge demand of people from Rajbagh and adjoining areas first Jan Ashudhi Store in the state of J&K was inaugurated by Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman on 11th March 2017 at Rajbagh Srinagar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
While speaking on the occasion state Coordinator, Jan Aushadhi (J&K) Rifat Nazir said that many such stores will be opened in different districts of the state in the coming months. She further added that the Department of Pharmaceuticals is committed to provide quality medicines on affordable rates to the common people.
Besides others, Mohammad Shafi Rather General Secretary Indian Red Cross, Mohammad Shafi Pandit Ex Chairman Public Service Commission and people from different walks of life were present on the inauguration of the store. (KNS)
