Lauds efforts of officers, announced cash prize for officers posted in Chogal Nursery

Kupwara June 18:(KNS)  Director General Horticulture, Aijaz Ahmed Bhat, along with other senior officers is on  three day tour to Karnah, Tangdar and other parts of Kupwara to promote Horticulture.

Speaking to KNS, Director General Horticulture said the purpose of the visit is to asses the horticulture activities in far flung areas of Kupwara.


This visit will help us to understand the ground situation to promote the Horticultural activities, he said.


Earlier he visited Handwara Nursery, which is spread over more than 30 acres, where he interacted with the officers and lauded their efforts in the development of Nursery. 
He also announced cash prize award for officers posted in Handwara Chogal Nursery for their outstanding work. 


Taking stock to the recent hailstorm which wrecked havoc across the different parts of Kashmir, DG said he directed the officers to assess the loss. We have submitted the report to Divisional Kashmir for final decision, he added.


He also warned the pesticide sellers for selling sub standard pesticides and asked officers to regularly conduct the market checking.

He also expressed his gratitude to LG administration and officers for his promotion. 
The recent promote is a result of team work and friendly cooperation of officers, associations, he added. (KNS)
