Diljit Dosanjh Breaks Silence on Pahalgam Attack, Film Row

Kuala Lumpur, Sep 25 (KNS): Singer-turned-actor Diljit Dosanjh has spoken out on the Pahalgam terror attack, the controversy over his film Sardaarji 3 with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir, and the recent India-Pakistan cricket match.

At his Kuala Lumpur concert, Diljit expressed sorrow over the April 22 Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists. “We have always prayed that terrorists get strict punishment,” he said, stressing that his film was shot before the attack while the match took place afterward.

Diljit saluted the national flag and said, “Woh mere desh da jhanda hai (That’s my country’s flag). Always respect.”

Addressing criticism over his silence, he explained, “I have many answers but I kept quiet.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelWhoever says anything, don’t take that poison inside you. I learned this from life.”

Earlier this year, Dosanjh faced backlash for featuring a Pakistani actor in Sardaarji 3 and for the film’s release plan excluding India. The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had even sought to blacklist him, but later revoked the order.

Meanwhile, Diljit has wrapped up filming Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh. The movie, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty, is scheduled for release on January 23, 2026.
