DIG North Kashmir reviews law and order, urges evidence-based investigations

Kupwara, Dec 11(KNS): Deputy Inspector General of Police (North Kashmir Range) Maqsood-ul-Zaman on Thursday chaired a Crime Review Meeting at the District Police Office (DPO) Kupwara to assess the law and order situation and strengthen ongoing investigations.

During the meeting, the DIG reviewed the progress of crime disposal, investigations under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) cases, recoveries, and property attachments.

He also examined monitoring of Zero FIRs, forensic lab visits, SID linking on e-Sakshya, MedLeaPR, e-Court challans, and the timely execution of e-Summons.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Maqsood-ul-Zaman emphasised the need for evidence-based investigations, strict supervision, and prompt redressal of public grievances.

He directed officers to enhance monitoring in NDPS-affected areas, regulate pharmacies, and maintain vigilance over crime hotspots.

The DIG appreciated the Kupwara Police for their efforts and urged them to continue maintaining high standards in investigation and law enforcement.(KNS).
