DHSK visits Martand Temple, takes part in reception of traditional Chhari Mubarak

 Srinagar, Aug 07 (KNS):  Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today visited Martand Temple Anantnag and took part in reception of traditional Chhari Mubarak Swami Amarnathji Yatra 2022.

Dr MA Rather also interacted with Shri Depinder Geeri Mahraj during his visit to Pahalgam on the eve of the reception of traditional Chhari Mubarak.

The director said the Chhari Mubarak is being celebrated over the centuries with great fervour and it is an example of brotherhood in the region. He said that the health department had already made elaborate arrangements including the medical aid centre.

 The director also interacted with yatris and asked them about the health care arrangements being provided to them and asked them whether they were facing any difficulty in terms of health services being provided to them. 

He also appreciated the health care workers besides other concerned for their services during the Amarnath Yatra.

Later, the director visited Pahalgam where he gave detailed description of health care facilities provided to the yatris during this year’s annual pilgrimage under the abled leadership of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha.

The director also shared the details about this year’s yatra and briefed about the facilities including setting up of two base hospitals, adequate oxygen facilities and other health-related arrangements.

After the interaction, Shri Depinder Geeri Mahraj also appreciated the efforts of the UT Administration in general and health department in particular for providing uninterrupted health care services for the yatris.

During the visit, the Director was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Anantnag, Dr M. Y Zagoo, BMO Sallar, Dr Nasir, Yatra Officer DHSK, Dr Zahoor besides other health officers and officials were also present.

Pertinently, traditional Chhari Mubarak Swami Amarnathji Yatra 2022 was held at the Martand Temple and is observed at the culmination of annual pilgrimage Amarnathji Yatra which is participated by thousands of yatris every year.(KNS)
