No room for vituperative language in health department, says Dir Health

Srinagar, June 10, (KNS): Directorate Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Wednesday placed BMO Handwara under suspension and attached him with CMO office Bandipora till further orders.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), an order issued by DHSK reads, “Whereas, a written complaint was lodged against Dr Ab Majd Bhat I/C BMO Handwara by Panches and Sarpach of Chowgal Handwara.

Whereas, taking cognizance of the complaint and in order to ascertain the factual position, an inquiry team of officers/officials was constituted vide this office order No. DHSK/PS/201-07 dated 04/06/2020 to conduct the enquiry and submit the report within two days positively”.

It reads, “Whereas, the enquiry team thus constituted furnished the enquiry report and stated that the doctor concerned has not been able to prove his ability as an administrator.

Besides, he uses un-parliamentary language for public and abuses the female staff, thus recommended for immediate suspension of the doctor concerned”.

It further reads, “Now, upholding the recommendations of enquiry committee, Dr Ab. Majid Bhat I/C BMO Handwara is hereby placed under suspension and is attached with CMO Office Bandipora till further orders”.

It added, “Consequent upon above, Dr Ab. Rouf I/C Medical Superintendent DH Handwara is hereby directed to look-after the work of Block Medical Officer Handwara in addition to his own duties till further orders.

Meanwhile Director Health services Kashmir Dr Sameer Koul while confirming his suspension to KNS said such kinds of vindictive acts won’t be tolerated and added doctors shouldn’t resort to vituperative language. (KNS)
